My favorite cosmetics over the counter

As we age our skin gets drier, thinner and more sensitive, which means the perfect moisturizer right now might not always be your go-to.

And you know, you don’t have to spend a lot of money on your Skin Care products.

There are many great and effective products in you local Drug store. You just have to recognize your PERFECT SKIN TYPE depends what kind weather is now.

I will try to share my special skin care product for Oily, Combination and sensitive skin type. Also great tip for all of those women who has an ADULT “acne” or even few pimples more often. Use a moisturizer with salicylic acid cleanser with ingredients like SOY and switch your 5 or 10% benzyl peroxide treatments to one that contains just 2.5%.

“ Too much benzyl peroxide can actually dry out a zit and stop medicine from penetrating” says Jeanette Graf, assistant clinical professor of dermatology a Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.

Natural Skin Care Product- Green Tea

Many research and reports show that green tea has incredible properties, which can help to cure or prevent some serious health conditions.

We have 3 different kind of tea, like: white tea, green tea, oolong tea, and black tea.

All those tea comes from the same leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant.

Depends how the leaves of tea are processed or fermented make the different between the 4 kinds of tea.

The lightest fermentation is given to leaves for producing white tea. Green tea leaves are steamed and dried, and black tea is fully fermented and oxidized.

v Green tea is made from unfermented leaves and reportedly contains the highest concentration of powerful antioxidants called POLYPHENOLS.

v Scientific studies suggested that EGCG and green tea have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties that may help prevent growth of skin tumors.

v The women receiving the green tea showed significant improvement in the elastic tissue of their skin specially, if you put cold green tea bag on your eyes, it will help for puffy and tired eyes,

v For 4,000 years, the Chinese have been prescribing green tea for all sickness- depressed immune system, and premature aging to name a few.

It’s been said that anything, that doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. So why not, drinking green tea, there is one of natural ingredients for our skin.

How to Prevent and Reduce Under Eyes Wrinkles

As you age you will begin to notice the wrinkles and fines lines UNDER EYES and your face.

Truth is, there is no way to avoid them, so the next best thing you can do for yourself is to PREVENT and REDUCE wrinkles.

I have a few guaranteed tips how to combat those wrinkles.

1) Water is extremely good for your skin. It helps to keep your hydrated and flushes out toxins from your body. It helps to increase the elasticity of your skin and therapy making it less prone to wrinkles.

2) Avoid exposing your skin as far as possible, if you must; then use a good sunscreen lotion or crème to protect your skin from dehydration and tanning.

3) Antioxidant, nutrition’s will help you tremendously, because they have a direct affect on your health. Did you also know that in addition to eating these particular foods, many of them can be applied topically, and this will allow them to be absorbed directly through the skin right at the target site.

The antioxidant on the market for skin protection includes vitamin A, E, C selenium, coenzyme Q10, and alpha-lipidic acid. Start getting this nutrition’s working from the INSIDE OUT and the OUTSIDE IN.

4) One of my favorite is VITAMIN C is your best, and natural ingredients in the

struggle against wrinkles. This vitamin is responsible for building and preserving collagen, which is the connective tissue that allows for smooth, supply beautiful looking skin.

5) Inexpensive under eyes mask. You can get them in any drugstore. Try using one

That has strawberry, or pineapple, that assists with the building of collagen and toning your skin. Make sure you don’t apply it to close to your eyes, and I recommend use it 2 times a week.

6) Don’t rub, or remove roughly. Rubbing your eyes is sometimes a habit, especially

when you are tired, or when removing eye make up.

7) Apply an eye cream with light pats, but don’t stretch the skin. Apply them

Carefully starting at the outer corner of the eyes to the inner corner of the eye.

How to care of your face in winter time

In winter there are many external factors that can influence the appearance of the skin, including dehydration and aging skin.

Winter time brings our skin crisp, that create dry and irritated skin.

The ice cold temperature, wind and low humidity strip of your skin’s natural moisture. But don’t worry, if you follow my tips your skin will be healthy and glowing again.

Tips to have glowing skin in Winter:

1. Drinking plenty of water

The most important part of winter is keeping the whole body hydrated. Drinking water with the lemon and lots of green tea hydrate our skin from the inside. Green tea is filled with inflammation, and also fight with the cancer.

2. Switched to Gentle cleanser

Regular soaps or foamy cleanser dry out your skin, and make more sensitive and irritated. Remembered you don’t have to feel dry and tight to clean your face.

The best choice is Cetaphil Cleanser-will not strip the skin of natural protective oils, or emollients. Recommended for years by Dermatologist, it is fragrance-free, and non-commedogenic. This cleanser is gentle and also recommend for children and teens.

3. Exfoliate

When it comes to exfoliating its important make sure that we use a gentle one like Enzymes from Alba Enzyme Face Scrub, encourage the process of cell renewal without harming our sensitive protective barrier.

4. Hydration from the inside

Toner gives more hydration to your skin, but you have to pick the one with alcohol-free. Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner, also Alba Toner is my favorite choice.

5. Apply Sunscreen

Just because summer’s over doesn’t mean the sun is no longer harmful. Exposure to ultraviolet rays contributes to wrinkles, age spots, and skin cancer (minimum of SPF 15)

6. Oilier moisturizer

You don’t need to run out and buy the most expensive moisturizer, on the market- there are plenty of good inexpensive ones on the drugstore shelves. My favorite line is Neutrogena, Alba, if you have more irritated skin choice the Eucerin line. Remembered avoid product with Shea butter ingredients, it may clog pores.

Even if your skin is oily, you need to moisturize – just look for noncomedogenic products, which won’t clog your pores.

7. Eyes needs special care

We need to take proper care for our eyes to maintain their health. Plenty of sleep every night might help your dull eyes. Apply a good quality eye creams like Patricia Wexler M.D De-Puff Eye Gel, or Neutrogena Eye cream to prevent loss of moisture and protect the delicate eye area from the harsh winter. This also reduces the intensive of black circles around eyes.

8. Extra hydrating Mask

Makeup Trends for this Winter 2010-2011

v Number #1 in that winter 2010-2011 is Smokey eyes in so many different versions, could be bi-color version, but make sure you keep the severe tone using darker shades of brown, golden and taupe. Also pair black and gray, golden brown, or gray and blue.

v You are allowed to use lighter eye shadow on the entire top eyelid, even going up towards the brown. Try to keep your makeup as simple as possible, than use mascara or eyeliner.

v When it comes to eyebrows this session keep them as natural as possible, when it comes to the shape or color. Good choice will be eyebrow pencil with a creamy texture in order to add a slightly healthy glowing.

v Lips are so red and hot this winter. You can be more sexy and elegant touch to your overall look.

v Makeup foundation colors tend to remain same from season-to-season. But still, each person brings about a new texture to explore. Heavy winters often inspire a matte, powder look that is absolute opposite of sheer looks of summer.

My favorite will be Bare Minerals foundation kits that match skin tones and easy to use.

My favorite Makeup for the whole year

The Bare Mineral "Magic" Make up offers a very much finer texture that other mineral powder,
which gives the foundation a smooth, matte finish. What impressed me that most is that make up stays on until you take it off.
Why I choose this Bare Mineral Foundation Makeup?
First of all because pure minerals, with only four or five natural ingredients like: Titanium Dioxide, Mica, Iron Oxids, Zinx Oxids. This product are without any: talc, fragrance, oil, and preservatives, which are good alternative for those who have sensitive skin.

Anti Aging Products- How to pick the right one

Some products state that they prevent and reverse the signs of aging, other claim to firm, smooth, and lift the skin, and there are plenty that guarantee they stimulate collagen and diminish wrinkles. Anti aging products do fill our heads with promises. There are thousands to pick, but are pocket and are budget have a limit to spend. How can you choose between them, and which ingredients actually might work? So let’s solve that problem with some four rules to remember:

  1. The best way to prevent anti aging and number #1 is sunscreen

Sun protection is the best antiaging product you have and the best investment you can make. Ninety percent of cosmetic skin problems that occur with age( wrinkles. Sagging, hyperpigmentation) are caused by sun exposure, according to the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. There is waste of money and no point in buying all kinds of antiaging products to repair damage, if you don’t use sunscreen every day. Most cosmeceutical ingredients try to mimic substances found in the body, such as antioxidants, peptides, growth factors, coenzymes, vitamins.

So protecting what we already have naturally and maintaining optimal skin health with daily sun protection and moisturizer is worth a thousand anti aging beauty solution.

  1. Try to read product labels very closely.

In the label must list ingredients from the highest concentration to the lowest, so if the anti aging element you’re looking for is near the bottom, there’s not enough in the product to do anything. (But remember keep in mind; a high concentration of the chemical is one way to get it into the skin). Most of the ingredients on the label- are the water, moisturizer, binders, and preservatives that make up the vehicle. Often and antiaging product includes silicone to provide a smooth texture to the product and make the complexion look smoother too. It may also contain a little glycolic acid or lactic acid to exfoliate the skin and provide instant gratification. But make sure that the ANTIOXIDANT or PEPTIDE you’re buying is very near the top of the ingredients list.

  1. When you choose your anti aging ingredients wisely.

Better hope or pretend that all these cosmeceuticals works. With so many new ingredients promising to fix so many problems, how should you decide among them?

Is a prescription RETINOID safe, or should you try an over-the-counter version first?

But first is step back ladies look at your skin and consider what product you already own: a moisturizer? A chemical exfoliate or a scrub? Next check to see if your moisturizer already contains an antioxidant or one of the ingredients I’ll discuss soon.

You may have been using an antiaging product for some time without even knowing it.

Then ask yourself what you are trying to achieve with a cosmeceutical. Are you in your twenties and looking for a preventive product? An antioxidant is a good bet. Do you want to fight wrinkles? Then something with RETINOIC ACID will work. If brown spots and uneven skin tone are your problem, you can use retinoic acid or try a product with NIACINAMIDE. Narrow down what it is about your complexion you want to improve, and that will help narrow down your options.

Taking care of your skin is like caring for a garden, which needs a certain amount of water, nutrients, soil, and sunshine to grow and be healthy. But if you overfeed or over water it, the garden is destroyed, in the same way, putting too much of a good thing on your skin is not necessarily better or more effective. The worst thing is people complaining they have some red, irritated skin and show me twenty different brands products that they use on it. How do all these ingredients react with one another? Are they overlapping the same kinds of chemicals, such as acids, over and over again?

Try to pick one or two active ingredients- an antioxidant and retinoid for instance and stick with them for at least THREE MONTS. Switching from one ingredient to another within a span of a couple of weeks for example: a niacin amide product, then a kojic acid, then an azeleic acid to get rid of brown spots.

4. Research products, and learn the difference between miracle and marketing.

Remember you have to do your homework on ingredients, and think logically about their claims. For instance, exciting ingredients claims to stimulate the production of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and increase the storage of moisture in the dermis.

This chemical has a cool, scientific name and sounds like an amazing discovery, yet it’s simply a plant-derived form of a sugar molecules like the GAGs. Again, the manufacturer’s tests are proprietary, and most products containing the ingredients also include hyaluronic acid, superior humectants. So it’s hard to say which one is responsible for any water retention results in the skin. A little sleuthing online can tell you what a hot new ingredient actually is and if the clinical studies behind it are for real.

Most of these ingredients aren’t really under the jurisdiction of a dermatologist. Traditional medical training has nothing to do with a popular antioxidant like CoffeBerry, or and ingredient like rare, Japanese whether these things provide substantial results or not. My expertise and research so far tree things have been proven to work as anti-aging:

SUNSCREEN, MOISTURIZER, AND RETINOIC ACID.

I hope my writing will help you to find the right products, but if you have more question always you can write to me, and I will try to answer the fast is I can. So have a good shopping.

Perfect Facial treatment for Mature or Aging Skin

Dry skin is often due to the natural aging of the body. As a person advances in years, the body’s processes slow down and cells are not replaced as rapidly as they were when the person was younger. It is not difficult to diagnose aging skin, but skin ages at different rates due to the following factors:

  1. The skin ages due to neglect and the external treatment it has received.
  2. Exposure to too much sun, wind, salt water, or polluted air will hasten the aging process.
  3. Physiological disease, ill health, and psychological (emotional) problems can cause the skin to appear older.
  4. Extreme weight loss can result in loss of muscle tone and lined and sagging skin, which in turn gives the skin an aged appearance.
  5. Medications, lack of proper diet, and the misuse of alcoholic beverages and smoking may affect the appearance of the skin.

The mature skin can be improved but the natural aging process cannot be reversed, not the skin restored to the same vital condition of youth. I always advise my client’s that treatments can bake the skin look and feel better, but there are no miracle treatments that restore aging skin. Cosmetic (plastic) surgery or skin refining, along with proper salon treatments (and the enhancement of make-up) may help to achieve the desired results.

The Elasticity of the skin

Aging skin will often lack elasticity. Also I tested skin elasticity by taking a small section of the facial skin or neck between the thumb and forefinger and giving the skin a slight outward pull. When the skin is released, and if the elasticity is good, the skin will immediately return to its normal shape. If the skin is slow to resume its normal shape, it is lacking elasticity.

Aging or sun-damaged skin needs antioxidants topically and orally. Antioxidants such as vitamins C, E, A minerals, green tea, and grape seed extract are all antioxidants that help protect the body from free radicals. I mentioned on my blog about Antioxidants, so if you want to read more look at my blog. Other beneficial care for aging skin includes protecting the barrier function of the skin and wearing sunscreen. Additionally, alphahydroxy acids can help reverse the signs of sun damage. Hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate, sodium PCA, and glycerin all bind water to the skin and I also love and believe RETINOL cosmetics can help you improve your elasticity.

My treatments goals are to hydrate and soften the skin. Stimulating the metabolism and firming the skin are also part of an anti-aging facial. Paraffin mask and massage with a deep penetrating serum and cream are both beneficial in a facial treatment for mature skin. A thermal mask can be used instead of a paraffin to force-feed nutrients into the skin. Firming products can also be effective in visibly tightening the skin.

Facial treatments are wonderful rejuvenator for clients with mature, aging, or sun-damage skin.

It’s never to late to start your first Facial treatment, you will feel fresh, younger, relaxed, what else do you need?

How to get Soft and Smooth Skin

I always want to share with you my personal experience and my favorite products for your skin. You don’t need to spend so much money at a spa to get soft skin. All you need is a few inexpensive items that you can get from your local Target, or Walmart store, to do your own skin beauty treatment at home.

Here are few tips to help you have smooth and soft skin and you will feel like a Queen.

Step 1 Watch the temperature

Too hot water can drastically dry out your skin. Take a warm shower and use a mild, unscented, moisturizing body cleanser, such an Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash ($6.99) or Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash ($7.99). Yes, we love hot showers, too… but seriously ladies it’d be better for your skin to get used to warm water.

Step 2 Exfoliate

You slough off some dead skin cells with your usual cleanser and a sponge or loofah, but if ashy skin is a big problem, try an exfoliating products such as Soft-soap Body Butter Coconut Scrub ($3.50), Amazon Forest Mango Body Scrub ($9.99). If you have sensitive skin, choose one that contains soft, synthetic beads instead (look for polyethylene beads in the ingredient list). Try to keep scrub-downs to no more than twice a week, more often can irritate your skin. When you are not exfoliating, use only moisturizing soap to keep your skin moisturized and hydrated.

Step 3 Moisturize.

Try to drink plenty of water. Also try water with a lemon, could be different taste, but extra vitamin C for you body. Healthy hydrated skin start from the inside out.

Drink 6 or 8 glasses of water each day for dewy fresh skin.

Also every time you wash your hands, or even wash the dishes, be sure to use lotion to keep your hands moisturized to prevent drying( my favorite is Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream-$6.99) There is few more products you can like: Cetaphil ($13.99), Shea Butter( $7.99), Eucerin Calming Cream ($8.29)

This time of year you have to give extra care for you feet, by applying heavy peppermint foot cream before bedtime, and then cover them with cotton socks. You will wake with the softest feet you’ve had in a long time. You can also try on your hands.

I hope you will like my advices and if you have your own ideas you can always share with me if you want. Happy fall and winter days for everybody.

CORRECTIVE MAKE UP FOR EYES

My another passion is makeup, so I always want to write about it, how to perform the right make up for the eyes.

The eyes are very important when it comes to makeup. The proper application of eye colors and shadow can create the illusion of the eyes being larger of smaller, and will enhance the overall attractiveness of the face.

Round eyes can be lengthened be extending the shadow beyond the outer corner of the eyes.

Close-set eyes are closer together than the length of one eye. For eyes that are too close together, lightly apply darker shadow on the outer edge of the eyes and light on the inside near the nose.

Protruding eyes can be minimized be blending a dark shadow carefully over the prominent part of the eyelid, carrying it lightly toward the eyebrows. Use a medium to deep shadow color.

For heavy-lidded eyes, shadow evenly and lightly across the lid from the edge of the eyelash line to the small crease in the eye socket.

To make small eyes appear larger, extend the shadow slightly above and beyond the eyes.

To correct wide-set eyes, apply the shadow on the inner side of the eyelid toward the nose, and blend carefully.

For deep-set eyes, use a bright, light, reflective colors. Use the lightest color in the crease, and a light to medium color sparingly on the lid and brow bone.

Everybody have different eye shapes, and it’s not easy to correct them. I have few professional techniques which helps me to perform the correct the eye shapes.

HIDDEN LIDS

- create a crease in the middle of the upper lid,

- highlight the brow bone,

- softly line upper and lower lashes,

- avoid strong colors,

SMALL EYES

Gold eye makeup

- place a darker shadow over the lid, blending it out to the temple and up the eyebrow,

- apply shadow to the outer corners of the lower lids,

- blend eyeliner softly from the center to the outer corners of both eyes along the eyelashes,

- apply mascara, brushing the lashes carefully,

ROUND EYES

- apply a medium shade shadow, blending it over the eyelid toward the eyebrow,

- apply dark shadow onto the crease and blend it toward the eyebrow,

- clearly line the inside of the eye with an eyeliner pencil,

- extend and carefully blend the colors in steps 1 and 3 toward the outer corner of the eye,

- apply mascara to the lashes only at the outer corners of the eyes,

PROTRUDING EYES

- apply a medium color on the entire eyelid and blend it toward the eyebrow,

- line the inside of the eye using a brown or gray eyeliner pencil,

DEEP-SET EYES

Natural eye makeup

- apply a light eye shadow along the crease of the lid,

- blend in a medium color on the outer corners and to the temples,

- use a soft color to accentuate around the eyes,

- clearly outline the eyes along the lashes,

- choose a dark shade of mascara,

CLOSE-SET EYES

- apply a paller shade to the lid and a darker shade to the corner,

- line the eye from the middle to the corner and blend the shadow outward,

- apply mascara in an upward and outward motion,

WIDE-SET EYES

- Extend a darker shadow from the inner corner of the eye toward the nose,

- Blend a lighter shadow from the middle toward the outer corner,

- Apply mascara with an inward motion,

DROPPING EYES

ROSACEA

Rosacea is chronic disorder characterized by couperose veins and congestion of the skin.
